Examinations continue smoothly in the NW
The North West Department of Sports Development is proud to announce that the 2018 final examinations are going smoothly with no incidents reported.
Out of six weeks of examinations, candidates are now into the third week making it a halfway mark through into their final examination. So far, 29 subject papers have been written with 47 papers to go.
The department aims to ensure that exams continue without any disturbances, contingency plans are put in place to proactively deal with glitches along the way.
MEC for Education and Sport Development in the North West, hon. Sello Lehari says he is pleased with the progress registered so far and anticipates overall good report.
“We are very pleased with the examinations so far and the good conduct of our candidates. We also anticipate that no deviations will be reported from our province. We trust that parents are still giving learners enough time to study and have good results”, MEC Lehari said.
Learners started writing on the 22th October and the last paper will be written on the 28th of November 2018. The province has 422 examinations centres and an overall enrolment of 40 222 candidates.
