SPEEDY RECOVERY TO THE GRADE R LEARNER OF MOETI PRIMARY SCHOOL (HUDUDI)

A five-year-old Grade R learner from Moeti Primary School in Huhudi near Vryburg fell out of a moving scholar transport after being pushed and incurred injuries in an incident that happened on Friday, 21 July 2023.

The department is dedicated to assisting the family of the learner in ensuring that the operator arranges for the learner to be treated and pays the medical bill until the learner has fully recovered. This comes after the Department of Community Safety and Traffic Management agreed with the operator to help with the learner’s private transportation to and from school until she has fully recovered.

MEC for Education in the North West province Viola Motsumi wishes the learner recovery and sends heartfelt regards to the family.

“ On behalf of the department, I am deeply touched by this unfortunate incident.
As the education community, learners are our human capital and our hope for the future and therefore, safeguarding them is our top priority.
I take this time to wish our learner a speedy and complete recovery as well as relay a message of hope and comfort to the family.
“We will be in constant liaison with the Department of Community Safety and Traffic Management to ensure the learner receives all the medical care. We will also ensure psychological support is rendered to both learners who witnessed the accident and to the family”, said Motsumi.

The Department of Education in the North West province wishes the Moeti Primary School Grade R learner a swift and complete recovery.
