The Rustenburg Local Education Office (LEO) held it’s 2024 National Teaching Awards ceremony at Hedgehog Nest Hotel, near Rustenburg Town on Wednesday,17 July 2024.

The Rustenburg Local Education Office, NTA award presentation was significant celebration recognizing the outstanding contributions of educators across LEO. Held annually, this event honors teachers who have demonstrated excellence in their profession through innovative teaching methods, community engagement, and dedication to improving education.

The event started and unfolded very well under the direction of Mr Pule and Ms Moroke. The awardees were selected through a rigorous, transparent process of interviews that evaluated their innovative teaching methods, use of technology, community engagement, and overall impact on learners’ development.

The winners of the 2024 Rustenburg LEO National Teaching Awards were as follows:

Excellence in Teaching Mathematics FET (Thage K.P.M)

Excellence in Technology – Enhanced, Teaching and Learning (Komane)

The event not only honoured the dedication and hard work of these educators but also highlighted the importance of quality education and the significant role teachers play in shaping the future of the country.
