NW EDUCATION WISHES A SAFE JOURNEY TO RASESEMOLA WHO IS ATTENDING THE AU MEETING IN ETHIOPIA

The North West Department of Education is now boosting with a large number of officials who now represent the country at an international level. Mrs Agnes Rasesemola is the winner of the 2019 African Union Continental Teacher’s Award and will be attending a meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 4 to 5 December 2023.
The African Union called a meeting on advancing the AU Continental Teacher’s Award and Recognition, Implementation and the teaching of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The meeting is going to discuss the Continental Teachers Qualification Framework, Teaching of STEM in AU member states, with the purpose of aligning, understanding and committing to the Continental Teachers Qualification Framework with the awarded teachers in 2023.

The MEC for Education, Viola Motsumi expressed that Mrs Rasesemola is a motivation to other teachers in the province.

“On behalf of the department l believe Mrs Rasesemola is a positive motivation to other teachers in this province. She has proven that hard work pays, all this success she is receiving today is through her resilience, dedication and hard work.

“As a department we are proud of her and many other teachers are looking up to her. We believe everything she is going to discuss in Ethiopia, she will share it with schools in our province”, said MEC Motsumi.

Agnes Rasesemola is expected in the country on Wednesday, 06 December 2023.
