The North West Department of Education cordially invites you to the three-day annual Provincial South African School Choir Eisteddfod (SASCE) competitions that will be held this week.
The opening session will be held as follows:

Time: 09: 00am
Venue: Spirit Word Ministries, Lofdal, Stilfontein (Dr Kenneth Kaunda district)
The choir competitions will be debuted by Primary Schools on Wednesday performing in categories such as Own choice, Boys choir, Sextet, Chamber and mixed choir.
North West Education MEC, Mmaphefo Matsemela who will be officially opening the competitions is enthusiastic about the competitions and sends her well wishes for the province.
“ It feels great to have the Eistefodd school choir competitions after a two-year break as a result of Covid-19 pandemic.
This is one of the out-of-classroom activities in which we hone and nurture talents of our learners because we believe in exposing talents outside academics.
“I wish all schools that will be performing in these three days all the best. Over the years you have made us proud without fail in national competitions and we expect nothing short of the best from you home”, said Matsemela.
The competitions will close off by high school performances which be on Wednesday and Thursday- 26 and 27 May 2022.
