NW EDUCATION CONGRATULATES NTA WINNERS

The North West Department of Education congratulates the 2023 National Teaching Awards winners who represented the province at the gala event held at Heartfelt Arena, Pretoria on Thursday, 05 October 2023.

Fourteen candidates represented the province, and the department [NWDoE] is proud of their competence, especially of the five winners who came back home with awards in different categories.

The winners of the North West Department of Education are as follows:
Ms Boitumelo Kegilwe Esther Leeu obtained position 3 in the category of Excellence in Grade R Teaching
Ms Dimakatso Sefora obtained position 3 in the Excellence in Technology -Enhanced Teaching and Learning
Mr Tumelo Lokwae obtained position 3 in the Excellence in Teaching Natural Sciences category
Mr Mohammed Shakeel Aboo won position 3 in the Excellence in Teaching Mathematics category
Mr Mzwandile Andries Ndu won the second position in the Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (FET) category

MEC Viola Motsumi indicated that all who represented the province are winners.
“I wish to motivate all candidates that they are all winners just for competing at the national level. Its been a tough contest yet our contestants came home bearing five awards. A close call was runner up in the FET category and we are proud of all the wins.
“I wish to tell every candidate that as a province we are proud of them. I believe next year the team should work extra hard to defend the province”, said MEC Motsumi.

The North West Department of Education welcomed all candidates back to the province as heroes and heroines.
