“On behalf of the entire department, I want to express my gratitude on the work of all our teachers. I am proud of you, keep the torch shining to the entire province. Your efforts are recognized during difficult times of the pandemic and during the community unrests you continued to soldier on. Your achievements at the national awards have put the North West province back on the map again. Without teachers our department couldn’t exist, you remain important to this sector”.
MEC Matsemela further encouraged those who did not make it into the top positions to never be discouraged and to try again next year.
The department is continuing to encourage all teachers to enter the National Teaching Awards competition in order display their positive role played within their communities.
