The MEC for Education in the North West, Viola Motsumi participated in a District prayer session held at Waterkloof Hills Secondary School on Thursday, 26 October 2023.

The Grade 12 learners are two days away from writing their final school examinations.

Motsumi was accompanied by the Executive Mayor of Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, Matlakala Nondzaba.
Matriculants, their parents, SAPS, educators, Social workers and community leaders were part of the session.

The MEC for Education, Viola Motsumi said that the matric prayer session is crucial to allow devine intervention.

“There is often a lot of pressure on matriculants to do well in their final exam. It is our duty as adults to reassure children that we will do everything in our power to support them at this crucial period,” the MEC stated.

“They are not alone when it comes to the tests. Regardless of the result, a greater power knows and loves them completely, even when they are in their examination room.”

MEC Motsumi on Monday, 30 October 2023, will monitor the first day of the examination at Moreri Secondary in Tseoge Village and Pica-Pau Secondary School in Pomfret.
