ANTI BULLYING CAMPAIGN AT RANKUDU PRIMARY SCHOOL

THEME:Don’t Bully, Be a Friend

The Office of the Premier led a successful anti bullying awareness campaign at Rankudu Primary School in Ramatlabama Village.
Ms Mosela Matlhaku from the Premiers Office gave a key note address which gave light to learners and parents about the causes of bullying and the mitigating factors. She urged parents to support their children as they are the first role models. Learners were also encouraged to strive and do better in life irrespective of their background.

In support of the event, officials who also made presentations were Ms Dimakatso Seametso from Community Safety [crime prevention unit]. Captain Shimanyane who is the school, adopted a cop.

A parolee Ms Boipelo Mongale also shared his prison experiences with the learners and encouraged them to do better in life.

SAPS and CPF launched the suggestion box and learners were advised to use it anonymously to raise concerns that affect them.
Part 2 of the event was an anti bullying march in the village to raise awareness.
