Acting Premier Nono Maloyi officially opens state of the art Saruchera Primary school

Today marks a significant milestone for the North West province at the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Saruchera Primary School in Huhudi, Vryburg. Acting Premier Dumile Nono Maloyi, alongside Education MEC Viola Motsumi, officially opened the doors of this remarkable educational institution on Wednesday, 03 April 2024.

Under the steadfast guidance of Education MEC Viola Motsumi, the construction of Saruchera Primary School has been constructred since 2020 with an investment exceeding R80 million.

This monumental effort underscores our unwavering commitment to providing quality education infrastructure to our communities.
Housing 1 400 learners, Saruchera Primary School boasts 24 modern classrooms, an Administrative block, Library, Soccer pitch, two combo courts, tuck shop, guardhouse, and multipurpose hall amongst other facilities.

The school itself honors the legacy of Mr. Saruchera, an educational pioneer in Vryburg and former principal of John Frylinck Secondary School.

MEC Motsumi extends a heartfelt plea to the community to cherish and take ownership of this school.

“It is not merely a building but a beacon of hope and opportunity for generations to come. Together, let us nurture an environment where every child can thrive and excel”, Motsumi expressed.

Motsumi further highlights the economic needs met during the construction of the school.

“ I wish to state that the construction of Saruchera Primary School has provided invaluable economic opportunities for local residents, contributing to the upliftment of the community and fostering sustainable growth”, Motsumi added.
