SOD TURNING FOR MAJOR RENOVATION OF KGOSI SHOPE SECONDARY SCHOOL

 

The North West Department of Education in its efforts to providing quality education in a conducive learning environment is on its turn around strategy planned to build and renovate school which are not conducive for learning and teaching.
Kgosi Shope Secondary School in Setlagole village is one of the schools which will receive a major renovation. The sod turning for this renovation will be held as follows:

Date: Friday, 14 April 2023
Venue: Kgosi Shope Secondary School, Setlagole village
Time: 09:00am

The MEC for Education Viola Motsumi accompanied by the local municipality mayor and the local Kgosi will be conducting a sod turning ceremony at the school to symbolically indicate to the community a construction of the school.

“This is one of my priorities to ensure we have a conducive environment for quality teaching and learning. It is in my best interest to speed all infrastructural reforms within our schools in the province during my tenure. I will make sure where there are gaps, I do whatever it takes with the limited resources at our disposal”, said Motsumi

The event will be held within the school premises and is expected not to interfere with learning and teaching.
