NW EDUCATION BIDS FAREWELL TO A LEARNER FROM MOJAMORAGO PRIMARY

The North West Education department joined the Moshawana community in Mafikeng to bid farewell, to Kebareng Mokoto a Grade 6 learner from Mojamorago Primary school on Saturday, 27 July 2019.
Kebareng Mokoto died last week Friday, 12 July 2019 in a tragic accident which happened when learners attended Indigenous Games at Mmabatho Stadium in Mafikeng.

It is alleged that the three learners were accompanied by their teacher to the bathrooms and on their way back, the three learners climbed the grandstands until to the top. Kebareng as they were going down, she missed the step and rolled down to the ground. She was declared dead after the arrival of the paramedics.

MEC Mmaphefo Matsemela expressed her heartfelt condolences to the family and Mojamorago Primary school community.

“As a department we are extremely heartbroken by the untimely death of our young Kebareng Mokoto. She was very young but in a short period of time there’s a lot that she has done. Her teachers indicated that she was a very energetic girl and may her soul rest in peace”, said MEC Matsemela.

Kebareng Mokoto is survived by her mother, father and four siblings.
