MEC MATSEMELA INTERACTS WITH SCHOOL SUB-DISTRICTS

The North West Department of Education MEC, Mmaphefo Matsemela had lined up visits to all performing and underperforming schools in all sub-districts across the province to motivate them in achieving great strides at the end of 2021 academic calendar.

The first visit will be in Bojanala district wherein she will be meeting with principals, subject advisors and district managers. MEC Matsemela’s visit will include two underperforming and two best performing schools in each district.

The first visit is scheduled as follows:

*Venue: Mankala Secondary School, Makapanstad (Moretele)*
*Date: Thursday, 25 March 2021*
*Time: 09:00*

Followed by,

*Venue: Brits Pos Hoerskool*
*Date: Friday, 26 March 2021*
*Time: 09:00.*

In the North West province underperforming schools are categorised as schools performing below the 70 percent mark.

The interaction will help navigate improvement methods as well as to share best practice.

Underperforming schools in Moretele are:
Hendrick Makapan Secondary (61,3%)
Mostwatemeng Secondary (59,6%) which performing schools are Mnamodibo Secondary School (88.7%) and Nchaupe Secondary at 94%.

The visits are an annual program to boost performance in all underperforming schools in the province.
