NW TO HOST THE PROVINCIAL DIALOGUE ON THE MIGRATION OF EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT 

The North West Education MEC, Mmaphefo Matsemela will be hosting and leading the Provincial Dialogue on the Migration of Early Childhood Development functions from the Department of Social Development to the Department of Education.

The National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT) has been mandated by Department of Basic Education (DBE) and the Department of Social Development (DSD) to facilitate a public consultation process regarding the migration of ECD functions. Two Dialogues with constituencies have been convened at a national level, and it has been agreed by the Department of Basic Education (DBE) and the National Department of Social Development (DSD) that the consultations should now be continued at a provincial level, to ensure the participation of all affected parties. The Provincial Dialogue on the Migration of Early Childhood Development functions is scheduled as follows:

Venue:            Mmabatho Palms Hotel, 1 Nelson Mandela Drive, Mahikeng

This important stakeholder meeting will discuss the implications of the migration, as well as to make recommendations regarding the process.
