MINISTER MOTSHEKGA VISITS NW

During her roadshow to welcome her new MECs, Minister Angie Motshekga stopped by the North West province to congratulate and welcome MEC Mmaphefo Matsemela in the education sector at a meeting that was held at Oom Paul Special school in Rustenburg on Friday, 02 2019.

Accompanied by her deputy minister Dr Reginah Mhaule, minister Motshekga said as part of her housekeeping agenda is to emphasise on the curriculum delivery as it will help our provincial yearend results ad move from the stagnant fourth position.

Motshekga highlighted that third and fourth terms were the most difficult periods in the department.

“As a department we know that our learners are faced with a serious task and as a department we should support them. The third and fourth terms are very difficult because learners should prove that they understand the content”, said Minister Motshekga.

Motshekga also highlighted that the province is one of the consistent performers in the matric results.

“The North West province has obtained position four two years in succession in the matric results. I believe that they can move up to the top to obtain the first or second position “, Motshekga continued.

Minister Motshekga indicated that the department should play an important role in contributing towards the growth of skills in the Province.
