MEC for education in the North West province, Mmaphefo Matsemela is thankful to the school community for a smoothly ran examination period.

“I take this time to thank the North West school community for a disruption -free examination period. This is all we aspire to have, a chance for learners to be afforded quite time to focus on their papers. I am also thankful to the teachers who held the fort throughout the year, dedicated invigilators, learners who abided by examination rules and the entire school community that made this period a success”, said Matsemela.

Matsemela also touched on the marking of scripts that is underway.

“We have now started another examination segment, which is the marking of scripts. As from Saturday, 04 December it was the arrival of the venue managers and the actual marking has started today on Wednesday, 08 December 2021. The marking process will be concluded, on Sunday, 19 December 2021. We have secured 20 marking centres which are in all four districts and we have ensured that markers are safe during this time of Covid19”, added Matsemela.
