MEC Lehari visits Examination centres

In a quest to obtain fair commentary on the 2018 year end results, MEC for Education and Sport Development in the North West, Sello Lehari assumed monitoring of examination centres on Tuesday, 06 November 2018 in Moretele, Bojanala district.

The two schools, Molebatsi Secondary School in Motle village and Ithuteng Commercial High School in Moeka village had candidates engaged in Setswana and Sotho examinations and no examination irregularities were reported at the schools.

Molebatsi Secondary school accommodates 77 candidates with three centres while Ithuteng Commercial high has 107 candidates with five centres.

MEC Lehari says the ‘no incident’ report is a good indicator for the department.

“Today I made visits to two schools to monitor progress and I am satisfied that examinations continued smoothly. This is a good report for the department in that it shows learner discipline, readiness and commitment to the examination pledge against exam irregularities. We further hope for destruction-free examinations for the rest of the examination period”, Lehari said.

Lehari says he will still be visiting two schools again in the afternoon; Motswatemeng Secondary in Lebotlwane village and Gaseitsiwe Secondary School in Ngobi village as learners will be sitting for Economic second paper at 14:00.
